Ubuntu in VPS
Ubuntu is available with all our Linux VPS and you can acquire a VPS running it in just 60 minutes. 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the OS are available, so that you'll be able to select the one that you need when the software that you wish to run on the web hosting server has particular system requirements regarding this. You can also select whether your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be installed with no Control Panel, in which case you'll have full root access and you'll be able to set up anything through a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be installed on it, in which case you will have a world wide web interface and all necessary web server, MySQL, FTP, electronic mail server, etc. software will be pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more restricted, but this type of installation is more effective for users with less experience. We can also keep your Ubuntu up-to-date on a regular basis when you add the Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do this during the VPS order process or at any later time via your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Hosting
Ubuntu is among the OS options which you can find on our registration page when you choose to acquire one of our Linux dedicated hosting. We will set up the 32-bit or the 64-bit edition, so as to meet the system requirements of the apps that you would like to install on the server. You can also choose the software which will operate on your machine, as we will install only the Apache web server software, so everything else can be tailor-made software of your liking. You can set up the latter without any problems by using a Secure Shell console, because you will receive root-level access and you'll get full control over your server. You are free to set up a hosting Control Panel as well and manage some things via a graphical interface, as long as it can function on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things easier for you, we also supply a Managed Services upgrade, that, among other things, features Operating System upgrades.
